Our current senior pastor, Reverend Pat Higgins, grew up in Newark, NJ. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, the late Pastor Chuck Higgins. Pastor Pat received the Lord Jesus as her personal savior on October 24, 1982. She was mentored by and lovingly served her pastors faithfully for 15 years. She served as church receptionist, church secretary, and ultimately Minister of Music after her ordination in 1991. Pastor Pat has traveled with evangelistic teams to various destinations throughout the United States and also England, France, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Sweden, where God graced her with opportunities to minister in worship and teaching. Pastor Pat currently holds an annual Women’s Conference where impartation, empowerment, and encouragement refresh and strengthen women of all ages. She has a great passion for seeing the restoration and spiritual development of women who have been broken, discouraged, or devastated by life. Her joy is complete seeing these women healed and flourishing in their call and purpose.
Pastor Pat has a background in administration, working in corporate until joining her husband to co-pastor RFC. Pastor Pat, classically trained in piano, was also employed as the Music Teacher for Abundant Life Academy, Nutley, New Jersey, in 1995. She continued thereafter semi-retirement in 2007 as the school’s Chapel Coordinator until fully retiring in 2018. Since then, she has devoted herself wholly to her ministry responsibilities as Senior Pastor of Restoration Family Church. Pastor Pat’s most important and treasured role is mom to her four adult children, LeNard, Artie, Candace, and Mark, with her greatest joy being a grandmother to her three grandsons.
